Armenian Model for Gucci Talks About Show Offer
Armenian model Armine Harutyunyan, who participated in the Gucci show during Milan Fashion Week this year, shared her impressions in an interview with SHANTNEWS.am. She said, 'A girl, a fashion scout, saw me and said that she sent my photo to Gucci and wanted to see me at their casting. She asked, can you come tomorrow? I said I couldn't because it's not easy to reach Europe from Armenia in one day. At first, I couldn't go, then she wrote again, and I went to the spring-summer collection casting. They covered my stay and flight expenses.'
Armine mentioned that she was chosen during the casting, and she stayed there for one week, with the Gucci show being the final event. She rehearsed twice for the show before stepping onto the runway. The model informed that she is not a professional model but a graphic designer-illustrator and a scenographer.
When asked about her feelings on stage, she responded, 'I can't say. At first, there was fear, then pride, and excitement. After the show, I haven't received an offer yet; I hope it will happen, but I can't say if it will be immediate or not. I haven't spoken with anyone from them since the show, but everyone seemed happy; I think they considered the show successful.'
When asked which brand's model she would like to be if given the chance, Armine confessed that she would like to be with Moncler or Celine. Armine Harutyunyan stated that for the show, she wore white clothing that was not part of the main collection; that outfit was not on sale but was part of the performance.
In response to a question about whether she was aware of various comments directed at her online and how she reacts to them, she said, 'I don't want to comment on anything; I can't judge people, everyone has their opinion. I can't say anything to people; they can keep their opinions, and I will keep mine.'
Armine confessed that everyone is surprised how Gucci chose her, while in reality, the brand is known for selecting new faces who have not worked in modeling before.
