Komitas Will Resound in Metro Stations

In the metro stations of Yerevan, the piano works, choral pieces, and monodies of Father Komitas will be performed. This was announced by Tatевик Хачатурян, the spokesperson for the Yerevan Metro, named after Karen Demirchyan.

On September 26, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Armenian composer, musicologist, and founder of modern Armenian classical music, Father Komitas, will be celebrated. As part of the anniversary events, during the days of birth according to both the old and new calendars, the piano works, choral pieces, and monodies of Father Komitas will be heard in the metro stations of Yerevan.
