Israeli Special Services Advise Jews Against Visiting Armenia and Other Countries
The Israeli National Security Service has issued a "tourist warning" listing countries that the Israeli authorities advise against visiting during Jewish holiday periods. The list is topped by six countries considered hostile: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia. Visits to these countries are legally prohibited.
Neighboring states of these hostile countries are also deemed dangerous, with visits to Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Gulf States, Africa, Central and Southeast Asia discouraged.
The National Security Chief's office does not guarantee safety for visits to Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan either. It is noted that Islamist-jihadist groups operate in these countries, which carry out attacks on Jews.
