«Ժամանակ». Today, an Extraordinary Meeting of the YSU Science Council Will Be Held

«Ժամանակ» newspaper reports that today there will be an extraordinary meeting of the Science Council of Yerevan State University (YSU), during which the situation created at the university will be discussed.

The extraordinary session of the Science Council is convened upon the signature and request of one third of its members.

Some representatives of the university staff have serious concerns that the university is not being led by the Acting Rector Gegham Gevorgyan, but by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Gevorg Muradyan, who is, more than the Acting Rector, distant from both education and science, yet very close to the university's finances.
