The State Revenue Committee to Monitor Casinos and Gambling Activities

Under the initiative of the Information Technology Department of the State Revenue Committee, a working meeting was held with the organizers of casinos, gambling, internet gambling, and lotteries operating in Armenia, as well as with responsible individuals overseeing the sector.

Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Mikayel Pashayan, presented the project for an electronic management system for the gaming sector. He emphasized that a modern and advanced electronic management system will be implemented, equipped with unique technological solutions.

This system will ensure transparency and low risk in the sector, monitor financial flows, increase state budget revenues, eliminate risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing, and minimize intervention in business processes by the regulatory body, conducting oversight in a 'stealth' mode.

Based on international standards for the certification of gaming equipment and software, it will be possible to exclude the operation of counterfeit or unauthorized gaming equipment or software, thus protecting the interests of players.

Through an analytical reporting system, it will be possible to conduct large-scale studies and analyses of the sector since the system works with both large-scale (Big Data) digital and unindexed textual data.
