Armenia Will Become a Football Country, Says Eganian

The advisor to the President of the Football Federation of Armenia, Zohrap Eganian, is confident that Armenia will become a football country.

"The immense work being done to develop football in the regions will surely bear fruit—Armenia will become a football country. Finally, we have a historic opportunity to systematize the development of football, to nurture it, and we must not miss this moment. It is possible that one day the state will also start investing in football, just like they do in Georgia. I believe that day will come, but until then, we all need to support the federation," Eganian wrote on his Facebook page, urging everyone to join the national endeavor, with each person contributing their "ball" to quickly reach new heights.

The Football Federation of Armenia plans to open 57 football fields in the country's regions by 2019.
