56 Drivers Fined for Throwing Objects from Vehicles
From September 16 to 22, the officers of the first police battalion of the Road Police implemented enhanced service in the capital, moving 121 vehicles to a designated secure area. Of these, 12 drivers were under the influence of alcohol, while others either did not possess the necessary documents or committed serious traffic violations that endangered the lives and health of other road users. During the enhanced service, 27 vehicles were also found to be operating with a violation of the front windshield transparency measurements. 13 drivers rectified the violation by removing the tint from the windshield on-site. This was reported by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
In the same period, officers of the second police battalion of the Road Police in the regions conducted enhanced services, transferring 53 vehicles to a secure area. 31 of these drivers were found to be in an intoxicated condition. Additionally, one vehicle was identified operating without a license plate, seven without an insurance policy, and 52 vehicles had tinted windshields. A total of 56 drivers were fined for throwing various items and objects from their vehicles onto the street. The enhanced services of the Road Police are ongoing.
