Political Leadership Visits 'Yerablur' on Independence Day
On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Armenia's independence, the political leadership of Armenia visited the 'Yerablur' pantheon today to pay tribute to the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for independence.
Among those who visited 'Yerablur' were Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Armen Sarkissian, National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Avinyan, Chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan, and other government members and deputies.
It should be noted that this year the main events of Independence Day will take place in Gyumri. On September 21, most of the ceremonies marking the 28th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia's independence will be held in Gyumri under the slogan 'Gukas Gyumri.' Concerts will take place at various locations in the city, where thousands of listeners will receive important messages about independence, statehood, and unity in a festive atmosphere through the language of music.
Diverse activities will also be conducted in regional centers and communities.
