European 3D Design for Buildings Trusted to Armenian Students

A new investor has emerged in Armenia's high-tech sector, the 3D modeling company Archidutch from the Netherlands. In an interview with Sputnik Armenia, the manager of the company's Armenian office, Sargs Hakobyan, stated that within a year of starting operations, the company has already assembled a team of more than 20 employees, notably not in Yerevan, but in the city of Vanadzor.

“Many of our employees are students; they manage to both study and work. European specialists have conducted short-term training courses for them, and they have passed exams and started working,” Hakobyan added.

One of the representatives of the investors, Natasha Mirzoyants, was born in Vanadzor and has lived in the Netherlands since she was 13. “We met her by chance, but we have very similar approaches to work. At that time, the idea of opening a branch in her hometown of Vanadzor was born. She was able to convince the Dutch leadership, and we started working,” she noted.

It seemed that finding specialists would not be easy. While Vanadzor has seen a rise in good programmers, there are almost no 3D modelers available as there is no place for them to work. “Programmers also had no places to work, but when IT companies appeared, then specialists emerged as well. I am confident that the same will happen here,” she added.

Currently, the Armenian branch of the company is already accepting orders from Europe for 3D modeling in construction and architectural projects. They have developed an augmented reality mobile application that allows users to 'place' a virtual model of a building on a table through their phone screen and view it from different angles and zoom in.

Additionally, at the end of September, the Armenian office will host an international conference in Yerevan on 3D modeling in construction and architecture.
