VIDEO: Major Fire and Explosion at Istanbul Chemical Plant

A fire broke out at one of the chemical plants in the Tuzla region of Istanbul on September 18, around 11 a.m., followed shortly by an explosion, reports ermenihaber.am.

Firefighting teams from Istanbul and Kocaeli arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze. According to sources, three firefighters were injured due to the explosion that occurred while trying to put out the fire.

According to the Istanbul Governor's Office, a total of seven people were affected by smoke inhalation.
