President Signs Appointments for Director of National Security Service and Chief of Police
The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed a decree appointing Eduard Martirosyan as the acting director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia.
“Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister and according to part 1 of article 139 of the Constitution, as well as part 1 of article 23 of the Law on Service in National Security Bodies, Eduard Martirosyan, the Deputy Director of the National Security Service, is appointed as the acting director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia,” the presidential decree states.
In another decree, the President has appointed Arman Sarkissian as the acting Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia. “Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister and according to part 1 of article 139 of the Constitution, as well as part 10 of article 14 of the Law on Service in the Police, Arman Sarkissian, the First Deputy Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia, is appointed as the acting Chief of Police.”
