Why Did Osipyan Resign and What Will He Be Doing Next?

According to sources from ArmDaily.am, Osipyan has been quite detached for some time, not interacting with his staff. Prior to his resignation, he did not communicate with anyone in the system, did not pack his belongings, and did not bid farewell to his team. It appears that he is struggling with the weight of his resignation.

Within the system, Osipyan's departure is attributed not only to poor performance, low indicators, and the current situation in the city, but also to a recent amendment to the law that politicizes the positions of the heads of the police and the National Security Service.

According to reports, Osipyan has requested to be appointed as the representative of the Armenian police at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. It seems that the authorities are inclined to grant this request.
