Collection of Silver Medals by Armenian-Polish Artist Theodor Axentowicz Up for Sale

The Central Bank of Armenia has announced that a collection of silver medals dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Armenian-Polish artist Theodor Axentowicz is available for sale on eBay. The collection consists of 9 medals, featuring the emblem of the Republic of Armenia, a nominal value of 100 drams, and inscriptions in Armenian.

The Central Bank warns that these medals are not issued by the Central Bank of Armenia and are therefore counterfeit. Necessary measures have been initiated to identify and hold accountable the counterfeiters.

The statement from the Central Bank mentions, "We would like to inform you that in 2010, the Central Bank of Armenia issued a single type of silver medal dedicated to Theodor Axentowicz, the entire batch of which has been sold out."
