Alexis Ohanian to Attend the Presentation of His Bestseller in Armenia
Businessman, activist, co-founder of Reddit and Initialized Capital venture firm, Alexis Ohanian will personally attend the presentation of the Armenian translation of his bestseller "Without Asking for Permission." This was announced by the press service of the "Edit Print" company.
"In the book, the author presents his path to success, from childhood to the founding of Reddit and the events that followed. He motivates the reader not to wait for anyone's permission and to take action," the message states.
The presentation of the bestseller "Without Asking for Permission" will take place on October 8. Notably, the book launch coincides with Ohanian's visit to Armenia, and the author has willingly agreed not only to be present at the event but also to deliver a speech. The book has been translated from English by Anna Mirzoyan.
Shavarsh Karapetyan, the marketing director of Edit Print publishing, noted that Ohanian's book presentation is indeed a significant event in Armenia's business sector, both for startups and established businesses, as well as for all ambitious individuals.
Alexis Ohanian is one of the most prominent figures in the IT sector. His grandparents were from Kharberd and Bitlis. Fleeing the genocide, they moved to the United States, where they settled down. During their years together, they had four children: Vera, John, who was Alexis's grandfather, Elza, and Merin.
Ohanian is acquainted with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and is referred to as the "Armenian Zuckerberg" in America. He proudly embraces his Armenian roots and is ready to support the technological development of Armenia in every possible way and more.
