You Are Pitiful and Repugnant: Ashotyan on News About Him in the Media

Today, one of the media outlets serving Nikol published a supposed sensation with the theme "Ashotyan's affairs are not so bad that he can afford such a luxury". This was written by Armenian National Congress deputy chairman Armen Ashotyan on his Facebook page.

“Recently, I indeed traveled to Brussels on AEROFLOT flights. As evident from the attached electronic excerpt, I traveled on economy class tickets. At the same time, having an AEROFLOT GOLD CARD, I received a complimentary upgrade to business class from the airline. It has been said: 'Летайте самолётами Аэрофлота' (Fly with Aeroflot).”

He further stated, “To those fluttering unproductively at the expense of the state budget, tucked away in Nikol’s pocket, who published pictures of sleeping individuals in response to my political critique, I will only say this: you are pitiful and repugnant,” and he included photographs of his flight tickets.

It should be noted that the newspaper "Zhamanak" published in its current issue that the deputy chairman of the Armenian National Congress and former Minister of Science and Education Armen Ashotyan was returning from Moscow sitting in the business class of the airplane. According to the newspaper, this indicates that the financial means of the ANC and Ashotyan have not deteriorated significantly since the change of power, allowing him to indulge in such luxury. An accompanying photo showed Armen Ashotyan sleeping on the airplane.
