The Acting Mayor of Ijevan Will Be Appointed, a Godson of Nikol Pashinyan

Soon there will be an official announcement confirming that Hayk Ghalumyan will be appointed as the mayor of Ijevan. This was stated by Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan in an interview with Tert.am, responding to Hraparak.am's report about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan appointing his godson, a member of the 'My Step' faction, and the brother of former Tavush Governor Vahe Ghalumyan, as the acting mayor of Ijevan.

'At this moment, that's all I can say,' the governor noted.

It is worth mentioning that Ijevan's mayor, Vardan Ghalumyan, submitted his resignation on September 6. The Investigative Committee has charged him under the first part of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. A bail condition has been selected for him to not leave the country.
