State Revenue Committee Presents Number of Registered Employees Since May 2018
The State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia has presented the adjusted number of registered employees since May 2018. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a post about this on his Facebook page.
“I want to emphasize that this is a dynamic number that can be verified and adjusted by the SRC at any time. Following the latest adjustments, we have more optimistic information: from May 2018 until now, there have been 65,037 job vacancies (an increase of 12% compared to the previously announced 64,899).”
If we compare the 65,037 registered employees based on the income tax brackets, the following picture emerges: the number of employees earning up to 150,000 drams is 11,536, the number of job vacancies for those earning between 150,000 and 2 million drams is 52,874, while the number for those earning over 2 million drams is 627.
“As you can see, the segment of those earning between 150,000 and 2 million drams constitutes the vast majority, which is great news. According to established data, since last May until this August, this group of people has received 22 billion 150 million drams in wages. The average wage for workers in this segment is around 400,000 drams. In total, newly registered employees during this period have paid over 6 billion drams in income tax,” Pashinyan wrote.
