Norq-Mararsh Administrative District Has a New Head

The Mayor of Yerevan, Haik Marutyan, presented the newly appointed head of the Norq-Mararsh administrative district, Hovhannes Manukyan, to the district's staff today.

Expressing gratitude to the outgoing head of the district for his efforts, the mayor noted, "Mr. Mkrtchyan had become a fully-fledged member of our team but decided to continue his career in a different field. It is very important to appreciate the path traveled and the work done, because only then can you create something new. Today, there are still many tasks in the administrative district that I am confident we can accomplish together."

The mayor also added that the new head of the district is a resident of Norq-Mararsh and is well-acquainted with the existing issues. Moreover, his extensive experience in the private sector is expected to positively impact the community's development efforts.

“Community work is one of the hardest and most challenging jobs. I am sure you understand the extent of the responsibility involved. Here, we deal with the daily problems of the residents, which require prompt and specific actions and solutions,” emphasized Haik Marutyan.

The mayor also discussed several existing problems in various sectors with the staff, particularly the organization of waste management, presenting the situation and talking about the steps taken by the municipality.

The former head of the administrative district, Vagharchak Mkrtchyan, was appointed to this position at the end of 2015.
