Justice Will Prevail: Arayik Harutyunyan on Kocharian's Case

The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian's case will see justice prevail, stated former Artsakh Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan in a conversation with reporters. He responded to the question of whether this judicial process has a political tint or is more of a legal matter.

“One thing I can say is that justice will prevail, and everything will be within the framework of the law,” he said.

In response to journalists' queries regarding whether troops were brought from Artsakh to Armenia during the events of March 1, 2008, when he was Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan commented, “The testimonies have been published, and I cannot say anything additional. The military personnel have explained their statements. However, understanding the structure, at that time, the Prime Minister of Artsakh had no connection with the Defense Army. I cannot provide additional information,” he said.

Referring to the local government elections held in Artsakh on September 8, Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the elections were conducted in an exemplary manner. “The Free Homeland party did not participate in the elections, but its members were very active,” he added.
