95 Million Drams for the Compensation of Justice Ministry Employees
The government decided at today’s meeting to allocate 95 million drams from the state budget for the compensation of employees in the Ministry of Justice.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the amount designated for compensation is insufficient to cover the payments for high-performing employees for bonuses accrued from previous years, which will be paid from the beginning to the end of the year.
The ministry emphasized that this year, 225 million drams have been allocated for the Ministry of Justice's compensation, whereas in 2018, 331 million drams were directed to employee bonuses and 333 million drams in 2017.
“In comparison to previous years, additional funds have been allocated for employee incentives and bonuses in other public authorities in 2019. At the same time, no funds have been allocated from the state budget for compensation to the Ministry of Justice, and the amount directed for bonuses from off-budgetary sources has also been reduced,” the ministry reported.
The Ministry of Justice also highlighted that employee compensation is crucial for their material motivation and the provision of social security guarantees, as well as positively impacting the implementation of comprehensive measures aimed at eliminating corruption risks.
