U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the dismissal of John Bolton from his position as National Security Advisor. Trump shared this information on his Twitter microblog.

"Last night I informed John Bolton that his services were no longer needed at the White House. I strongly disagree with many of his suggestions. Therefore, I asked him to resign, which he did this morning," Trump wrote.

Bolton himself stated on Twitter that he had offered his resignation to the president last night, to which Trump replied, "Let’s discuss it tomorrow."
