My Concerns About Amulsar Have Been Communicated to My Political Team: Nazaryan
The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Lena Nazaryan, assures that she has raised the issues related to the operation of the Amulsar mine during meetings of the 'Civil Contract' party.
'I have personally directed the questions raised by journalists and the public regarding Amulsar to government officials and received the same answers that you have received as well. Those responses have been presented,' said Lena Nazaryan in a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly.
When asked about her personal stance following Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent statements, Nazaryan replied: 'If that question were in the National Assembly, I would have answered those questions. My other concerns I have communicated to my political team during discussions.'
It is noteworthy that the Deputy Speaker hurried to leave without answering questions regarding the disagreements within the faction and the risks associated with the operation of the Amulsar mine. When reminded that she has been an environmental activist, she only briefly responded, stating that she has already answered the questions.
Let us recall that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that there are no legal grounds to prohibit the operation of the Amulsar mine.
