Hakob Arshakyan Proposes 'Haypost' Company Present Development Concept

RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan met with Jorge Del Aguila Ernekian, the director of the Armenian branch of the 'Erenkian' group, and Hayk Avagyan, the CEO of 'Haypost' CJSC.

Minister Arshakyan presented the functions and main objectives of the newly established ministry, highlighting the ecosystem of the high-tech sector, as well as direction related to digitization and defense industry.

The discussion also addressed the future activities of 'Haypost' CJSC. It was noted that the term of the 'Haypost' management agreement will end in February next year, and by then an interdepartmental commission will be created to present recommendations regarding the future management model of 'Haypost'.

The minister emphasized that he expects a more progressive level of cooperation in the postal services sector and proposed the presentation of a program that would facilitate the delivery of government digital services across Armenia through postal offices. Additionally, a strategy for the development of postal services was suggested to streamline logistics challenges of knowledge-based industry products, thus promoting product export and economic progress.

Jorge Del Aguila Ernekian expressed readiness to present their company's development concept in the framework of discussions on the management model of 'Haypost'. The parties discussed several avenues for future cooperation.
