Syringe Concealed in Tea Box Found During Raid at Nubarashen Penitentiary

On September 10, around 11:30 AM, employees of the operational department of the Nubarashen penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia discovered a bag about 1 meter away from the bars of one of the cells, acting on received information. Inside the bag was a tea box labeled "56 X Armenin." Upon inspection, a 3 ml syringe filled with approximately 0.7 ml of liquid presumed to be a narcotic was found inside the box. This information was reported by the public relations department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

On September 9, around 12:00 PM, employees at the Artik penitentiary discovered a white powdery substance resembling drugs, mixed with sugar, during an inspection of a parcel brought in for inmate M. S.

On the same day, during inspections at the Hrazdan penitentiary, 3 mobile phones and 1 wi-fi device were found in various cells. Material is being prepared regarding these facts, and a forensic chemical examination has been appointed.
