Response of Amulsar Guardians to Prime Minister Pashinyan
Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on the residents of Jermuk to unblock the road leading to Amulsar during a live broadcast on Facebook. In response to Pashinyan's call, the guardians of Amulsar issued a statement. The statement is presented below:
“Today, an unexpected announcement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in which the main call was to open the Amulsar posts and unblock the roads for Lydian. How can we open, when the international research organization entrusted by our state declared in front of everyone that Lydian’s documents are incomplete and unprofessional? How can we open, when an entire resort town is against having a metallic mine in its vicinity? We respond to this call, and our answer is very brief and clear. – The positions of Amulsar will not be opened; on the contrary, they will be strengthened. We will not allow this mine to be exploited; Amulsar will remain a mountain. We will fight until the end… Now, let us make a call directed at all Armenians who are concerned about this issue. Let us unite the people's forces and stand behind our compatriots living in Jermuk, as a whole nation. The first step: spread this statement, let everyone see it and express their agreement to join the fight through likes and shares. Let everyone see and feel our numbers, the strength of our unity.
P.S. Our upcoming steps will be developed and coordinated through this page, await future announcements, and you can write suggestions in the comments. We do not forget to share and spread this, our collective statement-response to the prime minister.”
