Video: Suspect in the Murder of a Traffic Policeman Extradited to Armenia
On the night of September 7, a 48-year-old man registered in Vagarshapat was transferred from Moscow to Yerevan, escorted by officers from the Chief Department of Criminal Investigation of the Police.
This individual had been wanted since 2001 for charges including murder, banditry, and usurpation of the title or authority of a public official, with detention as the measure of restraint.
As a result of persistent efforts, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department received operational information last September indicating that the suspect was hiding in the city of Ramenskoye, Russia. With effective collaboration with partners from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the wanted person was located and arrested.
One year after the discovery, the 48-year-old man was extradited to Armenia.
Once again, the officers of the Chief Department of Criminal Investigation confirmed that there are no unsolved crimes or unlocated fugitives; it is merely a matter of time and consistent effort.
