Strategic Exercises to Commence

According to the 2019 preparation plan of the RA Armed Forces, a strategic exercise will take place from September 24 to October 5, involving both state and local self-governing bodies. This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense.

During the exercise, units will conduct the destruction of conditional targets using live fire. The objectives of the exercises include the practical verification of the plans for the deployment and combat use of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, training of involved forces and resources, providing practical experience to state and local self-governing bodies in the implementation of mobilization tasks, and the command circles of the RA Armed Forces and mobilization resources.

The exercises also aim to study and adjust the capabilities of the forces, resources, mobilization bodies, and conduct coordination of staff operations.
