Sipan Pashinyan Must Apologize to Yerevan Residents: David Khajakyan

David Khajakyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council’s 'Loom' faction, addressed the waste collection issue on his Facebook page.
“It has been a month since Sipan Pashinyan made this statement. One of the councilors said that the waste collection issue would be 'solved in a month' and 'we cannot collect political dividends'. As you can see today, we are living through another waste collection crisis, which naturally has its own 'justifications' by the authorities.
I believe that for the current state of affairs, Sipan Pashinyan should first apologize to the residents of the capital, as the deadline he mentioned has passed, yet the issue remains unresolved. Second, I think he should apologize to Marukyan for his arrogant expression suggesting that we are collecting political dividends on the existing unsanitary problem. Many forces might have collected dividends as a result of your 'glorious' governance and will continue to do so.
We voice issues in a targeted manner, proposing solutions; for us, a political dividend can be the resolution of the issue through our specific proposal, but never the situation in which our residents, friends, women, and children are living today. I have a particular disdain for this topic because it has reduced the city discourse to the most technical level, but if the problem can't be forgotten, then blaming us for gloating is not the best alternative.”
