Makunts on Zhivair Sefilyan's Statement
This is the perspective of that political party.
On September 9, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly, Lilit Makunts, the leader of the 'My Step' faction, addressed the statement made by Zhivair Sefilyan, a representative of the 'Sasna Tsrer' party, regarding the possibility of snap parliamentary elections in a year if no force majeure events occur.
When asked if there are such preconditions, Makunts replied, 'I cannot understand what the logical connection is between acting as a legal state, taking into account the problems of the population, and discussing the issue of holding snap parliamentary elections.'
She also referred to another statement by Sefilyan, in which he claimed that there are special services that determine the composition of the National Assembly and can lead to a situation where the Assembly demands the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. 'If the talk is about influencing us, I don't know what Sefilyan is talking about, because such a thing does not exist. If the conversation is in another domain, not related to influences within the 'My Step' faction, then I believe that if there is a criminal composition present, including threats to national security, then Mr. Sefilyan should inform the relevant authorities about it.'
