There Are No Political Subtexts Behind My Congratulations or Actions: Arthur Abraham

The former WBO world champion in professional boxing's super middleweight category, Arthur Abraham, stated that he loves all the leaders of Armenia, both past and present. This comes in response to the criticism directed at him following his recent congratulations to former President Robert Kocharian on his birthday, which resulted in sharp backlash.

Recently, he conveyed his message through a spokesperson, stating, “Dear compatriots, I congratulated the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, on his birthday. To be honest, I sincerely respect and love all the Presidents of Armenia — Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharian, Serzh Sargsyan, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. I do not engage in politics, and there are no political subtexts behind my congratulations or actions. You know me well; politics is not my territory, I am a sportsman and a son of the nation. I suggest that we do not politicize my congratulations, well-wishes, remarks, or meetings. That is all. May justice and fair trials prevail in our country, and sincerity and honesty reside in our hearts. Let us be kind and tolerant towards one another. I am proud to be Armenian.
