Syunik Police Chief Dismissed from Position
Arshavir Gevorgyan, the police chief of Syunik, was dismissed from his position on August 30. This was reported by the Armenian Police.
“Arshavir Gevorgyan has been relieved of his duties by the order of the head of the Police of Armenia and is now registered in the personnel reserve. Such personnel changes in the police system always occur,” the Police stated.
It is noteworthy that Arshavir Gevorgyan previously held the position of head of the Tavush regional police department and was appointed as the police chief of Syunik in October 2016.
