My Cross: Film About the Artsakh Movement Set to Hit the Big Screen

A new feature film titled My Cross, based on real stories, will soon debut on the big screen, vividly depicting the years of the Artsakh liberation movement from 1991 to 1992.

Here unfolds the love story between the film's main characters: Jacques, a French doctor, and Sona, an Artsakh native, portrayed by Yero Muradyan and Narine Grigoryan, respectively. The filming began in 2014, initially under the working title Long Return.

The movie was produced by Rakurs and Moscow's APcinema studios in collaboration with the National Cinema Center of Armenia, with support from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

The directors of the film are Shavarsh Vardanyan and it is noteworthy that the director used documentary footage from his personal archive, which will be showcased for the first time in this film.

The musical score is composed by the singer-songwriter Hayko.
