Samvel Balasanyan Presented Gold Commemorative Medals on the Occasion of Gyumri Day

The Honored Artist of Armenia, painter, photographer, and poet Samvel Sevadan and the Honored Coach of the Armenian SSR Henrik Nazaryan were awarded the gold commemorative medal of the Gyumri community. The medals were presented by the Mayor of Gyumri, Samvel Balasanyan.

Mayor Balasanyan also proposed to discuss in the city council meeting the issue of granting the title of Honorary Citizen of Gyumri to Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan (Komandos) and Robert Mergeryan, which received a warm round of applause from those present.

It is noteworthy that today Gyumri is celebrating the city's day. The celebration carries the title “City of Masters.” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is participating in the city’s festivities along with his wife and daughters. High-ranking officials are also present in Gyumri, including Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan, Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan, members of parliament, and government officials. Guests have also arrived from various countries.
