Police Have More Civil Relations with the Criminal World than with Society Representatives, Says Gaspari

Gathering protesters with brute force in Baghramyan is a serious warning for democracy. This was stated by activist Vardges Gaspari during a conversation with reporters, as he lay in protest near the entrance of the Government.

“It is unacceptable to gather protesters from the streets without a moment's hesitation. I believe this is a serious warning for democracy that must be taken very seriously,” he noted.

According to Gaspari, such mechanisms used against protesters are unacceptable, and he points out that the police have more civil relationships with the criminal world. “We often see in police statements that they have conducted explanatory work regarding a certain criminal case, and those criminal authorities have voluntarily appeared at the division. It turns out that the police have more civil relations with the criminal world than with representatives of society,” said the protester.

Gaspari emphasized that his civic stance does not separate from the current authorities, as he also played a small part in the victory of this government. “For the past 10-15 years, I have fought for this government to take action. Until I step away from power, I consider it my government,” he summarized.
