2.1 Billion Dram Allocated to Improve Conditions of Combat Service
The government decided today to make amendments to the state budget, increasing revenues and expenditures by 2 billion 161 million 796 thousand drams, which will be allocated to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan clarified that this 2.1 billion drams is intended to improve the conditions of combat service.
Two provisions of the question were initially planned to be discussed in a closed session; however, Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan requested that the issue be discussed entirely in a closed manner, and this proposal was accepted.
According to the draft, there will be reallocations allowing for the fulfillment of obligations related to goods to be received in 2019, based on negotiations with supplying organizations. The aim is to ensure the fulfillment of obligations and the signing of contracts in accordance with the procedures established by Armenian legislation for the goods to be supplied.
The necessity of the decision is justified by the need to provide the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia with the necessary funds for fulfilling obligations concerning the supplies of goods to be delivered in 2019.
