Details from the Meeting with the Prime Minister: Environmentalists and Activists Left Outraged
If the government's decision regarding the exploitation of the Amulsar mine is positive, the residents of Jermuk will continue to keep the roads leading to the mine closed. This was announced today by the Jermuk residents participating in a protest action near Baghramyan 26.
“If a decision is made to exploit the mine, we are prepared to keep the roads leading to the mine closed. I will not allow my grandchildren to be disabled. We came out with 14 people from our homes to defend our mountain so that our children can breathe clean air tomorrow. If the Prime Minister has rejected Serzh, then he must also reject all negative projects brought by Serzh. This should not be subject to discussion,” said one of the participants in the protest.
