VAZ-2106 Falls into Ravine on Road to Mairavank Monastic Complex; Driver Hospitalized
On August 17 at 11:05 PM, the emergency services were notified that there had been a traffic accident on the road from the village of Kaghsi in Kotayk Province to the Mairavank Monastic Complex, and assistance from rescuers was needed.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a team was dispatched from the Yerevan firefighting-rescue squad of the regional rescue department. It was determined that a VAZ-2106 vehicle, driven by Gurgen Gh. (born in 1989), had gone off the roadway and slid approximately 1 km down into the ravine.
The rescuers assisted the driver to the ambulance, and he was subsequently hospitalized at the Hrazdan Medical Center, where doctors assessed his health condition as satisfactory.
