Direct: Motorcycle Rally Against the Ratification of the Istanbul Convention

The VETO movement is conducting an awareness campaign against the ratification of the Istanbul Convention in 11 cities across the republic.

At the start of the motorcycle rally, Narek Malyan told reporters that they founded the motorcycle club three months ago and decided to promote a masculine lifestyle with friends. "In this country, masculinity has been the only unpromoted concept in recent years. Today’s motorcycle rally is against the Istanbul Convention; we will be distributing flyers along the way, informing people about the dangers present in the convention. We have seen that preparations for the ratification of the convention were being made, and fake messages about rape were being published on Facebook, so we are going to conduct an awareness campaign," said Narek Malyan.

Actor Gevorg Grigoryan, who is the director of the motorcycle club, stated that they are carrying out an awareness campaign. "The legalization of homosexuality cannot be without danger; people are simply unaware. I do not know what the current government wants to do, but we will express our wishes."

The motorcycle rally started from the Victory Park area and will follow the route: 1. Abovyan 2. Charentsavan 3. Hrazdan 4. Sevan 5. Dilijan 6. Vanadzor On August 18, 1. Spitak 2. Gyumri 3. Artik 4. Talin 5. Ashtarak. The closure will be marked by a concert.
