State Revenue Committee Urges Temporary Restriction on Truck Traffic with Trailers at Guguti-Gogavan Checkpoint
The State Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia has announced that renovation works on the Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti road segment will begin on August 19. This information has been provided by the Public Relations Department of the RA State Revenue Committee.
The State Revenue Committee advises to temporarily restrict the flow of trucks with trailers and semi-trailers at the Guguti-Gogavan checkpoint due to the renovation works on the Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti road section.
Considering the increased activity of the tourism season and the growth in the volumes of goods during the summer months, the State Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia has stated that it plans to carry out the renovation to facilitate unhindered border crossings in the future. The renovations will start on August 19 and are expected to be completed in the fall. During this period, the work will focus on the 85th to 98th kilometer section of the road.
