Ambassador Toghanyan Presents Armenia's Approaches in the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Resolution Process. Armenian MFA Responds to False Accusations
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to the baseless criticisms made by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia regarding the incident that occurred on August 11 in Pyatigorsk.
Armenian MFA spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan stated that "the Ambassador of Armenia to Russia, Vardan Toghanyan, visited the youth forum camp 'Mashuk-2019' that opened in Pyatigorsk, toured national pavilions, and got acquainted with the volunteer programs of the forum participants. On August 11, as part of the 10th youth forum, Ambassador Toghanyan delivered a lecture to approximately 500 participants of the forum, dedicated to the historical and cultural ties between Armenia and Russia. At the end of his lecture, the ambassador answered questions from nearly three dozen participants, including an Azerbaijani participant."
Regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, Ambassador Toghanyan presented Armenia's approaches and principled stance in the conflict resolution process. The mentioned incident, about which the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia has sent a letter to the Russian Foreign Ministry, did not occur during Ambassador Toghanyan's presence at the camp.
