The Issue of Armenian Families Stranded in Sharm El Sheikh Seems to be Resolved
The issue of three families stranded outside their hotel in Sharm El Sheikh appears to be resolving. This was stated by Anahit Serobyan, one of the tourists who remained in Egypt, in a conversation with NEWS.am.
“The tour operator made a transfer about two hours ago through another individual, and we expect it to be credited to the hotel’s account. We have been moved to another hotel since yesterday and made an initial payment until the tour operator settles the payment for the remaining days,” she noted.
Earlier, we reported that Armenian citizens who went on vacation to Egypt faced a new problem. The citizens who contacted NEWS.am said that three families, who planned a 10-day vacation, found out that only six days had been booked for them in the hotel and they were unsure if they had return flights or not.
They had booked their tourist packages through the travel agency “Info travel.” “We paid for 10 days, but yesterday the hotel told us that only six days had been paid for. Since yesterday, we have been outside, there are no free spots in the hotels, and we are three families with a total of 10 people, including young children,” they had reported.
The “Info travel” company informed NEWS.am that the issue was related to the hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and confirmed that the problem has now been resolved.
