Another Minor Arrested for Inflicting Severe Bodily Harm on a 15-Year-Old Boy

The Investigative Committee of Armenia's Shengavit administrative district is conducting necessary investigative actions to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident where a minor allegedly inflicted serious bodily harm on another minor. Another minor has been arrested.

On August 13, 2019, the Shengavit police department received a report from the Surb Astvatsamayr and Shengavit medical centers stating that a teenager born in 2004 had sought medical assistance for a stab wound to the left side of his chest.

According to information from the Surb Astvatsamayr medical center, the teenager was found to have a penetrating stab wound on the anterior surface of the left side of his chest, diagnosed with left-sided pneumothorax.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated in the Shengavit administrative district investigative division based on Article 112, Part 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code.

As a result of necessary investigative actions and operational-search measures, the identity of the individual suspected of committing the alleged crime was determined, who is a resident of Yerevan born in 2004. On the same day, he was arrested on charges of committing a criminal act classified under Article 112, Part 1 of the Criminal Code.

A forensic medical examination has been appointed, the crime scene has been examined, several witnesses have been interrogated, and items have been seized. A directive has been issued to the relevant police unit. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
