VIDEO: Bear Cub Rescued from Dilijan Transferred to Wildlife Rescue Center

Thanks to the efforts of FPWC and the support of partner organizations, a bear cub that was left without a mother has recently been moved from Dilijan to the Wildlife Rescue Center. The cub was found in one of the local hotels. With the intervention of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, the animal was relocated to a sanctuary that provides better conditions, where it will be under the supervision of specialists, undergo rehabilitation therapy, and possibly be returned to the wild in the future.

“I am Ruben Khachatryan, the founder of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values (FPWC). We are implementing the Bear Rescue Program in Armenia. With the help of ‘International Animal Rescue,’ the ‘Brigitte Bardot Foundation,’ and ‘Bears in Mind,’ we have already rescued around 30 bears. We are currently preparing to rescue another bear cub located in the area of ‘Dilijan’ National Park,” stated Khachatryan.

The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values continues to call on and urge citizens to be caring towards nature and the animal kingdom, emphasizing that wild animals belong in their natural habitats.
