"I Am Honored to Hold the Position of Head of the State Revenue Committee". David Ananyan Comments on Anonymous Critics

David Ananyan, the head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), expressed his outrage on Facebook regarding the demands for his resignation made by certain individuals whom he referred to as "critics." He specifically wrote:

"In general, I refrain from responding to those who post commissioned comments about me in the Facebook domain, as I know that these poor individuals are just doing their jobs for some compensation. I am absolutely not interested in what some well-known and unknown critics or detractors are writing (as considering their remarks poses a real risk of becoming an ineffective public servant). However, certain expressions and labels are often allowed, which I believe should be addressed.

Recently, one of the latest critics demanding my resignation justified his demand by stating that... 'the SRC is headed by a figure from the former regime.' I have been in this profession for over 26 years, of which 16 were in the private sector. After a long (16-year) break, I returned to public service on October 25, 2016, at the invitation of my friend, Vardan Aramyan, and I had the honor of being the Deputy Minister of Finance overseeing tax and customs policy, accounting, and auditing sectors. Now, I am honored to hold the position of head of the SRC. I leave the conclusions to the public."
