Emergency Incident: Mother and Child Hospitalized Due to Fire in Vehicle
Today, on August 10, an emergency incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 14:10, under still unknown circumstances, a fire broke out in a VAZ-21010 vehicle with the license plate 81 DA 800 on the 4th km of the road from Vedi city to Urtadzor village.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the fire completely turned the car into a pile of ashes.
The Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service fire brigade from Vedi arrived at the scene with one combat unit. However, the flames spread so rapidly that firefighters and assisting villagers were unable to extinguish the fire.
According to G. Shamshyan's information, 28-year-old Vardush Harutyunyan and 9-year-old Armen Harutyunyan sought medical attention at the Vedi Medical Center with minor burns. According to doctors, their lives and health are not in danger.
Officers from the 2nd platoon of the 1st company of the Road Police's 2nd Battalion arrived at the scene, led by platoon commander Vahan Evinyan and squad commander Karapet Harutyunyan.
At the location, the investigative work is being led by investigator Gevorg Poghosyan from the same platoon, who is preparing materials on the incident.
The police are working to identify the driver.
