Attempt to Circulate Counterfeit 500 Euro Bill in Sevan Restaurant

Recently, officers from the Main Crime Investigation Department of the Police of Armenia received information through various operational measures that a counterfeit 500 Euro bill was circulated in one of the restaurant complexes located on the Sevan Peninsula.

According to the Police of Armenia, investigators from the Main Department, in collaboration with officers from the Sevan Division of the Police, identified several circumstances surrounding the incident. Individuals involved were located and detained.

Within the framework of the criminal case initiated, searches were conducted. During a search in the residence of one of the detainees, substances resembling marijuana, packaged in cigarette boxes, as well as a pistol, were found and seized for further actions. One individual has been detained.

The operational-search measures and investigative actions are ongoing.
