Illegal Wood Processing Workshop Discovered in Gegharkunik

Employees of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division of the RA Police received operational information that illegal wood was being used in a wood processing workshop located in the village of Artsvakar in Gegharkunik Province.

Based on the information, operational-investigative measures were taken, during which more than 5 cubic meters of logs and 80 square meters of flooring were discovered in the workshop, lacking any documents verifying their legality.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated based on the materials prepared regarding the incident, which have been forwarded to the territorial investigative division for further investigation.
