Former Head of Mrgashen Embezzles 12,600,000 Dram

The investigation department of the police's Main Directorate for the Fight Against Organized Crime has uncovered a case of embezzlement or misappropriation in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Kotayk Regional Police and the Nairi Division.

As a result of extensive operational and investigative measures, law enforcement has determined that the former head of the Mrgashen community misused his official position by issuing orders for various individuals who did not attend work, yet salaries were disbursed in their names, leading to a total embezzlement of approximately 12 million 600 thousand dram.

A criminal case has been initiated under the articles of embezzlement or misappropriation and abuse of official authority as per the Criminal Code. Efforts are underway to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
