Irregularities: The Contractual Value of Cash Register Machines Exceeds Real Prices
The State Revenue Committee of Armenia, responding to reports in mass media regarding potential irregularities committed by the "Office for the Introduction of Cash Register Machines" during the procurement process of cash register machines in 2017-2018, has taken necessary measures to uncover these issues.
This information was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the SRC.
As a result of operational and investigative measures undertaken by employees of the SRC's Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department, it was revealed that the contractual value of a total of 25,000 units of the "Pax S 900" model cash register machines supplied to the Office for the Introduction of Cash Register Machines under the contract with "Pax Technology Limited," registered in the People's Republic of China, was recorded at a price above the actual cost.
Essentially, the Armenian government's allocation of additional funds for the acquisition of cash register machines has resulted in a clearly unprofitable transaction for the Republic of Armenia.
Based on the factual data acquired through the prepared materials, a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant article of the Armenian Criminal Code by the SRC's Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department regarding the incidents of senior officials of the SRC using their official positions for selfish purposes contrary to the interests of the service, causing significant harm to the legal interests of the state.
