Major and tragic car accident occurred in Syunik province

A major and tragic car accident has occurred in Syunik province. A КамАЗ 53212 with the license plate 36 CТ 261 was driven by an unidentified driver on the Yerevan-Kapan highway at kilometer 281. While heading towards Yerevan, for reasons yet unknown, the vehicle veered off the roadway, collided with concrete barriers, and rolled several meters before landing upside down among the trees.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, the driver, whose body was extracted from the vehicle by the Kapan firefighters, died on the spot. A criminal case has been initiated based on the features of Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The police and investigative department are working to identify the deceased. The source reports that rescuers had to use special equipment to recover the body with great difficulty.
